Stroke Screening

Strokes can be devastating and life changing events. Strokes can occur from a number of factors including hardening of the arteries in the neck, irregular heart beat, cardiac valve problems, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. SMBP offers stroke screening using ultrasound of the neck arteries (a carotid duplex ultrasound scan), echocardiogram, cholesterol and lipid profiles, blood pressure screening, and magnetic resonance (MRI) arteriograms of the neck and cerebral arteries.
